Dr. Tianpei Yang is an assistant professor at the School of Intelligent Science and Technology, Nanjing University. Before this, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at RLAI Lab at University of Alberta. Her research directions focus on deep Reinforcement Learning (RL), multiagent systems, and AI Agent, especially in building intelligent agents with complex reasoning ability, high efficiency, generalization, and scalability through transfer/multi-task learning, hierarchical learning, continual learning, offline learning, and opponent modeling. Her research achievements have promoted the application of reinforcement learning in related fields such as chip design, game theory, and large commercial games. She has published over 30 high-level papers in top AI conferences and journals. She serves as a (senior) reviewer for conferences such as ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, and AAAI, as well as international journals like TPAMI, JMLR, and TNNLS. She has won the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of CCFAI and  Best Paper Runner-up of AAAI 2024 HCRL Workshop.
