School of Intelligence Science and Technology at Nanjing University is one of the first colleges established in Suzhou campus of Nanjing University. In the trend where artificial intelligence technology has become a new quality factor of productivity and is driving a new wave of information technology revolution, the college, based on Nanjing University's guidelines for equal standards and differentiated development for each campus, relies on the National Laboratory of Computer Software New Technology at Nanjing University and actively builds and develops cutting-edge directions such as machine vision and pattern recognition, general foundation large-scale model and generative artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence and multi-agent systems, and artificial intelligence for science. At the same time, it combines the unique features of new engineering education at Nanjing University Suzhou campus, emphasizes multi-disciplinary cross-integration, and conducts talent cultivation, key technology research, and technology transfer for priority industries such as intelligent manufacturing, healthcare, and national defense technology.

    The college currently has a high-level faculty team of nearly 30 people, including one academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and one talented young scholar supported by the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents Program. There are also one national outstanding leader and 12 national young talents. The college admits and trains 150 undergraduates annually. It has two master's and doctoral degree programs in computer science and technology and electronic information, with 38 doctoral supervisors (of whom 23 are full-time). The college has established the Visual Computing and Intelligent Perception Research Center and jointly built the Nanjing University-China Mobile Joint Research Institute and the National Health Medical Big Data Research Institute of Nanjing University.
