    Ying Tai is an Associate Professor at the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, Nanjing University. Previously, he was a Principal Researcher (T12) and team leader at Tencent Youtu Lab. He led the development of cutting-edge vision technologies applied in products like Tencent Meeting's virtual background, Tencent Cloud's digital human, Tencent Cloud AI face fusion, and QQ's special effects filters, generating significant economic value.

    He earned his Bachelor's and PhD degrees from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 2012 and 2017, respectively, and was a visiting scholar at Michigan State University in 2016. His primary research interests include generative computer vision technologies, such as multimodal text-to-image/video generation, human-centric content editing and generation, high-fidelity image/video restoration, and high-performance content generation. To date, he has published over 70 papers in top international conferences and journals, with more than 11,000 citations on Google Scholar (as of July 2024). His first-author and corresponding-author papers have been cited over 6,000 times, with a single first-author paper cited over 2,400 times. He holds 41 patents.His research achievements include the First Prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Award in 2021 (fourth contributor) and a nomination for the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award by CSIG in 2018. He led the team to win three global championships in the NTIRE 2020 and 2021 super-resolution competitions. Additionally, he serves as Area Chairs for ECCV 2022, WACV 2023-2025, and FG 2023, and as an Associate Editor for the Image and Vision Computing journal. He was named among the world's top 2% of scientists by Stanford University from 2020 to 2022. Currently, he is leading one industry-funded project (1.5 million CNY/year) and two government-funded projects. His research group collaborates with renowned companies such as China Mobile, ByteDance, Tencent, Alibaba, Vivo, and Liblib.
