On September 23, 2026, the Nanjing University–Insta360 Joint Laboratory for Intelligent Imaging held its 2026 Annual Meeting at Nanjing University Suzhou Campus. Attendees included Zhu Weiwei, Deputy Director of the Office of Science and Technology of Nanjing University and Director of the Office of the Science and Technology Institute at Suzhou Campus; Yao Yao, Director of the Nanjing University–Insta360 Joint Laboratory for Intelligent Imaging and Tenure-Track Associate Professor at the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, Nanjing University; Guo Yibin, Co-founder of Insta360; and Qi Lu, Head of the Insta360 Research Institute, among other representatives from both the university and the company. The meeting was moderated by Yao Yao.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on the first-phase research projects of the joint laboratory signed last year, reviewing collaboration progress and interim achievements. Qi Lu, based on the company's internal needs, released the second-phase projects of the joint laboratory, outlining key research directions and tasks for the next stage. Representatives from both the university and the company then presented their research outcomes in response to the company's needs.
Before the meeting, Yao Yao led Guo Yibin and his delegation on a tour of the Suzhou Campus, giving them a first-hand understanding of the campus's development and construction.
