To further advance the internationalization of graduate education and fully leverage the advantages of cross-school and interdisciplinary collaboration in talent development, the School of Artificial Intelligence, in partnership with the School of Integrated Circuits and the School of Energy and Resources, jointly organized a series of activities under the International Academic Exchange Month on December 23, 2025. The activities focused on graduate students' overseas academic visits, participation in international conferences, and the sharing of research outcomes, collectively showcasing the phased achievements of graduate students' international engagement and fostering an open, diverse, and interdisciplinary atmosphere for global academic exchange.

I. Multi-School Collaborative Efforts to Build an International Academic Exchange Platform

The International Academic Exchange Month featured presentations from seven graduate students across three schools, who shared their insights from disciplinary perspectives, training models, and international collaboration experiences. In sequence, they discussed their international exchange experiences, focusing on topics such as the academic environment and research features of their host institutions or international conferences, specific research collaborations and phased outcomes, differences in research paradigms and methodologies encountered during international academic exchanges, and practical advice on preparing for international exchange programs for doctoral candidates. These presentations highlighted both the commonalities and distinctions in research paradigms, collaboration models, and international engagement approaches across different disciplines, fostering mutual understanding and cross-disciplinary learning among the participating schools.

II. Advisor Feedback and Guidance: Strengthening the Transmission of Collaborative Education Experience

Faculty representatives from the three schools provided in-depth comments and exchanged insights on the students' presentations, drawing on their own experiences in international collaboration and talent development. They offered guidance on topics such as how to select high-caliber overseas host institutions and international conferences, how to achieve high-quality research collaboration within limited exchange periods, and how to plan for doctoral students' international academic capabilities and long-term career development. The interactive dialogue between faculty and students further reinforced the international training mechanism characterized by mentor guidance, student initiative, and school collaboration.

III. Regular Exchange and Sharing: Advancing the Internationalization of Graduate Education

The International Academic Exchange Month, organized through cross-school collaboration, successfully showcased and systematically summarized international exchange experiences, facilitated horizontal exchanges and mutual learning among graduate students from different disciplines, and promoted the sharing of mentoring experiences and educational philosophies among faculty. Moving forward, the schools will continue to strengthen collaborative efforts to institutionalize, specialize, and brand international exchange activities, thereby consistently enhancing the internationalization and academic impact of doctoral training.
