On October 13, 2025, a delegation from Geely Automotive Research Institute, led by Chen Yong, Head of the Central Research Institute and Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center, visited our school to discuss matters related to university-enterprise cooperation and innovation development. The meeting was attended by Shan Caifeng, Vice Dean of the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, and was chaired by Associate Professor Li Wenbin.

Shan Caifeng extended a warm welcome on behalf of the School to the delegation from Geely Automotive Research Institute and provided a comprehensive introduction to the School, covering aspects such as disciplinary development, faculty expertise, research initiatives, and talent cultivation. He highlighted the School's substantial experience in university-enterprise collaboration, noting continuous advancements in research platform development, including the establishment of the Visual Computing and Intelligent Perception Research Center. Furthermore, he emphasized the School's extensive partnerships with industry leaders such as Huawei, China Mobile, Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, and Siemens. These collaborations have led to the joint construction of several key platforms, including the Nanjing University-China Mobile Joint Research Institute, the Nanjing University National Institute of Health Care Big Data, and the Nanjing University-Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation Multimodal Audio-Visual Media Large Model Joint Laboratory.He expressed his expectation that through this exchange, both sides would identify key entry points for in-depth collaboration and join hands to advance future cooperation across multiple promising areas. These include promoting AI technology enablement, facilitating research Research Commercialization, enhancing talent development, and engaging in joint construction projects.

Chen Yong expressed his gratitude to the School of Intelligent Science and Technology for the warm reception and provided an overview of Geely Automotive Research Institute, detailing its development history, organizational structure, personnel composition, and industrial composition. He expressed his hope that, building upon this exchange, both sides would strengthen collaboration and communication, deeply promote scientific research planning and industrial upgrading, and explore cutting-edge technologies and application scenarios in fields such as AI agents, embodied intelligence, large language models, and high-performance computing. He looked forward to the two parties joining forces to advance together and achieve innovation and mutual success.
