Suzhou Communications Investment Group visited our school for an exchange symposium

  On August 28, Mr. Lu Mingjian, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Suzhou Communications Investment Group, along with his delegation, visited our school to discuss matters related to university-enterprise collaboration and synergistic development. The exchange meeting was chaired by Professor Gao Yang, Party Secretary and Executive Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology.



  On behalf of the school, Gao Yang extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Suzhou Communications Investment Group. He provided a comprehensive introduction to the school, covering disciplinary development, faculty strength, scientific research achievements, and talent cultivation. He elaborated on the research outcomes of the school's five major disciplinary directions and their pathways to market application, emphasizing that the school has placed great importance on university-enterprise collaboration since its establishment. He expressed hope that both parties could establish multidimensional practical cooperation through exchanges, achieving resonance and synergy in joint technological breakthroughs, research commercialization, joint laboratory construction, and talent development, thereby contributing to Suzhou's development needs and advancing high-level scientific and technological self-reliance.



  

  On behalf of Suzhou Communications Investment Group, Lu Mingjian expressed gratitude to the School of Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology for the warm reception and introduced the Group's industrial and scientific research development. He stated that as Suzhou's comprehensive transportation industry-finance platform, Suzhou Communications Investment Group should maintain close cooperation with Nanjing University's Suzhou Campus, which serves as a higher education platform in Suzhou. He looked forward to collaborating with the School of Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology in the future, focusing on the field of artificial intelligence, and jointly advancing cooperation in technological innovation, industrial incubation, talent cultivation, and other areas to promote mutual progress and win-win outcomes between the university and the enterprise.



  Yuan Xiyi, Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Center of Suzhou Communications Investment Group, mentioned that the Group has accumulated considerable experience in collaborating with universities. He expressed hope to leverage the advanced research achievements of universities to realize AI-enabled scenario applications, thereby promoting more industrial implementations and facilitating the commercialization of research outcomes.




  Wang Tao, Dean of the Railway Planning and Design Research Institute, stated that at the national level, great importance is currently attached to the development of artificial intelligence, which is regarded as a strategic technology leading the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation. Artificial intelligence has been deeply applied in the transportation sector, and current technological innovation in railway construction primarily focuses on green and intelligent development. He expressed hope to collaborate with universities in scientific research, commercialization of outcomes, and talent cultivation, aiming to deepen cooperation mechanisms and expand collaborative platforms.



  

  

    The participants engaged in multi-dimensional discussions and exchanges on the relevant topics.

    The exchange meeting was attended by Zhang Gang, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Center of Suzhou Communications Investment Group, Zuo Zewen, Staff Member, Liu Yingyuan, Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Center of the Intercity Company, Yao Yao, Assistant Dean of our school, and Associate Professors Tai Ying, Li Wenbin, and Bing Zhenshan, as well as Assistant Professor Ren Yuxiang.
